Students will learn how to alter Note Blocks to create specific instruments sounds, and use Redstone to time beats and melodies. No prior musical experience is required. I have been playing music for 35 years. I have been studying and teaching Minecraft for 2 years.
This is a Java Edition Minecraft class only (from a laptop or desktop computer). Students with Bedrock Edition (ie, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, phone, or other mobile device) will not be able to participate.
A Mac or Windows desktop or laptop computer, running the latest version of Minecraft.

Parental Guidance Statement: 1. This class uses a third party software called "Minecraft, Java Edition". This software requires setting up an account, and thus a "user name" (also known as "gamer tag" or "handle"). 2. In order to participate in this class, students must log into my Minecraft Realms account, by way of an "invite" sent by me. This user name must be provided by the parent, via a private message (not the classroom page), and not less than 15 minutes before class begins. 3. At the beginning of each class, I will send out invites to all enrolled students in that class. At the end of class I will delete those invites, which will terminate their access to the Realm. 4. Students are not allowed to share their gamer tag with other students.
