Practicing outside of class will give students the opportunity to relate the class material to their own life and environment which will help cement the new language in their brains.評価

In this recurring, English course, we will meet as a group once per week to converse in English. In the class students will develop the ability to understand and communicate in English while having a ton of fun! Here is what you can expect throughout the course. I use Google Slides to teach this unit. This is a 90% immersion class. I will give instructions and explanations in English, for the benefit of your child. However, most of the class will be in English. The focus of the class will be on developing skills in the areas of listening and speaking. Students will converse about how they are feeling and why, the weather, plans for the week and what they did over the previous week (past tense). We will also use a "chat mat" format with different questions to discuss each week. The questions are over topics that are interesting to today's youth. Each class, we will discuss something completely new. Please note that these classes do NOT build on each other, so your child will feel comfortable joining class with me on any date that is convenient for you. Each class will have a new, independent lesson for your child. This class is learner-lead English class. This means that I will be selecting a topic that I believe will be benefit most students enrolled in the course, taking into account their age and level of English proficiency.
