-Mermaid doll, stuffed animal, or figurine to share with the class
-Ten Frame handout printed out. Handout will be provided prior to class. 
-10 seashells (if you do not have any seashells, students can use buttons, pompoms, or any small object of choice)
-Tray, box, cake pan, etc. filled with a thin lay of sand. There should be enough sand to fill up the bottom of the container. Sand can be any color. If you do not have sand and you do not wish to purchase any... salt works great too! 
-Blue Play doh
-optional Ocean play doh mat (can be laminated or placed in sheet protector for durability)
