This one time class is designed to introduce students to different folktales from and based in the Middle Ages. In this class, we will cover the topic of what makes a folktale and learn about a variety of tales and the history surrounding them. Among the stories we will be looking at are: King Arthur, Renard the Fox, and a variety of fairy tales. The class is designed to encourage discussion, with breaks between each story for everyone to discuss their thoughts, opinions, and take away from the stories. It is set up with a slideshow format, so that students may follow along by either reading along with me, or just listening.
