Welcome Mathletes! Does your learner need some focused division practice? Mathletes is a fun way for learners to practice their math skills while enjoying fun games and a social environment. In our time together, we will review the important math skill, division. We will discuss the vocabulary associated with division, such as dividend and divisor. Learners will understand the reason for division and learn keywords to look for in word problems. We will practice the division of two-digit dividends and one-digit divisors. We will extend with three-digit dividends. We will practice this skill using Nearpod to gamify your child's experience. This is a great way for learners to continue to practice their math skills this summer while meeting their peers! I look forward to meeting your learner. Day 1: Dividing with 1-digit divisors Day 2: Dividing with 1-digit divisors and remainders Day 3: Dividing with 2-digit divisors Day 4: Mixed Practice with and without remainders *What is Nearpod? Nearpod is a free program that allows me to share my slideshow with my students. I create my interactive lesson which includes video clips, games, individual problems for each student to solve, and more. To access this program your child simply needs to copy the class link provided or enter the code into the Nearpod App. It is quick, simple, and fun!*

Hello learners!
My name is Tara Laczynski, and I live in South Carolina, USA. I am a certified teacher with 17 years of experience, teaching 3rd through 7th grades, with classroom expertise in ESL and Advanced Academic (Gifted and Talented) learners. In 2018, I transitioned to online English teaching, conducting over 2,500 classes for students of all ages.
Since joining Outschool in April 2021, I’ve been thrilled to teach math to students worldwide. My classes encourage learners to take risks, try new things, and build math confidence in a supportive environment. I believe that confidence grows through understanding, and I love seeing students explain the “why” behind their answers, leading to enriching discussions.
As a Nearpod Certified Educator, I incorporate interactive Nearpod elements in my classes, gamifying learning so students actively engage and practice independently. To reach even more families, I am expanding my program to include other educators who share my commitment to making math engaging, accessible, and confidence-boosting.
