In this 5-day camp, learners are presented each day with brain-teasing math puzzles. Together, we explore these puzzles, stretching the mind's problem solving and analytical skills. Perfect for math-lovers and gifted students. The puzzles for class are generally fairly challenging for elementary school students, but do not require any specialized mathematical knowledge. It's a great opportunity to get to know math on a deeper level. Many students in elementary school find that they can quickly master the math techniques they are taught and seek something deeper and more challenging. The collective problem-solving approach in this class will teach learners the attitude and approach used by professional mathematicians to make novel discoveries. Our classes will focus on the following puzzles: Day 1: Bubbling Cauldron - Sums and Integers Day 2: Greedy Pickle Monster - Primes and Sets Day 3: Glue Squares - Sums, Spatial Reasoning Day 4: Pinocchio's Playmates - Patterns, Deduction Day 5: Jumping Frogs - Patterns, Induction
