キッチンの数学: 放っておけないバー

In this laid back and fun interactive baking class, students will learn many educational concepts. These concepts will include the following:

Math:
-Fractions (addition, subtraction, comparison)
-Measurement

Life Skills:
-Safety in the kitchen
-Hygiene (while cooking)

First, we will begin this class by talking about the importance of safety and hygiene while we are baking in the kitchen. 

Second, we will practice these concepts by washing our hands and talking about how to be safe when working with an oven and other utensils. 

Afterwards, we will get into the concepts of what a fraction is and what measurement means. The teacher will facilitate a discussion on the importance of following directions and making precise measurements. 

Next, we will assemble and bake our Can't Leave Alone Bars.

Finally, we will wrap up the lesson by working on some practice worksheets together. **Depending on the number of enrolled students and how quickly the class moves along, students may need to finish their worksheets outside the classroom. In this case, I will out send out an answer key for these worksheets after the class concludes so students may check their work.
