McGraw Hill Math Grade 8, Third Edition, is an engaging and colorful resource designed to provide your 8th grader with a thorough and enjoyable learning experience. This edition combines easy-to-follow lessons, real-world examples, and over 1,000 practice problems to help students build the skills they need for success in school and on standardized tests. Built around state curriculum standards, this program covers key math concepts with clarity and depth. With end-of-chapter tests, your child can easily track their progress and focus on areas needing improvement. As they advance through the material, they'll strengthen their problem-solving abilities and gain the confidence to excel in eighth-grade math. Teaching Style: Student-Centered !!! LOTS of interactive activities, games and discussions !!! Research proves that a student-centered instructional model is key to learning! Interaction Level: Medium to High !!! Students will have an opportunity to engage with me and each other through games, video clips and discussions! It is my first priority to ensure the safety of all students so open chat and open microphone will be limited. All interactive activities are selected to maximize learning while providing a safe environment to do so!

External resources will be used to enhance learning. These resources will be used during class time via screen share or during independent work time. Some external resources used will require student accounts which will be activated and assigned by the teacher at no additional cost to you. The teacher will assign generic (no personal identifiers) username/passwords for each student. The student will only have access to their generic accounts while enrolled in my course. All external resources have been vetted and approved to be appropriate for learning. We will use Google Slides in this course.
