SUMMARY OF THE CLASS

In this 3-week, course students will meet 3 times a week to learn the perfect structure for 3 different types of essays. Essay writing is so important for students to master in middle school because essay writing is going to be a major part of their education from here on out.

However, so many students struggle with essay writing, and as a parent not only do you not want to see your child struggle, but you also may not feel equipped to teach them yourself because you never learned the structure or English is not your first language.

Some of the most popular and useful essays for students to learn a structure for are

📚narrative essays
🖌persuasive essays
❗️opinion essays.

In this class, students will see examples of these types of essays, learn the structure, and be able to practice and get feedback on their essays.

ABOUT ME AND MY STYLE

I have been teaching essay writing for over ten years and I love to expand students writing by asking them questions about their writing to get them to expand their ideas. I also believe that students need to have a structure to write from to really master the art of essay writing.

I also have lots of experience with students with a number of different abilities and neurodiverse students. I have experience with blind students, autistic students, students with ADHD, etc. If your student needs any accommodations to make this class more accessible for them please feel free to reach out and I will make these accommodations to the best of my ability.
