This weekly class introduces learners to coping skills and self regulation strategies. Learners create a toolkit of strategies to use when they are experiencing big emotions. This class is open to students with diverse learning needs, ADHD, and autism. Learners can join at any time. Class topics will be updated monthly. Classes are multimodal and incorporate discussion, games, videos, social stories, and activities. Weekly topics are listed below. January: Anger Strategies Week of January 5 : What is Anger? This class is not therapeutic or a replacement for mental health treatment or counseling. coping skills and self regulation will be discussed in a general informational sense.
受講に必要なもの
Learners will need a journal with blank unlined pages or printer paper they can keep in a folder (to keep track of their coping skills), a writing utensil, and coloring supplies for each class. Each week a post will be made in the classroom to provide more specific information on what learners may need for that particular week.

I have many years of experience working with students in various settings. I have a graduate degree in School Psychology. Currently, I work as a School Psychologist serving students in grades K through 12. My training and experience allows me to teach others about coping strategies, aspects of mindfulness, gratitude, and self care.
