分数と友達になろう！

Too often students who are capable of learning fractions are not successful because the pacing of traditional school goes too quickly and does not allow students to create and experiment with models.  This class is designed for students who are feeling frustrated with fractions.  This class will take students back to the beginning of what fractions are so students can grow their confidence.  Over the six weeks students will explore fractions.  No prior knowledge is necessary for students to enroll.  We will review concepts of numerators, denominators, common factors, common multiples, and equivalency.  Homework will not be assigned.  However, students may request individual sessions if they would like further practice.  Students may also request individual sessions for related math topics.

Week Two: Building up numbers (multiples)
Week Three: Parts of a Fraction
Week Four: Making Equivalent Fractions Part One
Week Five: Making Equivalent Fractions Part Two
Week Six: Making Equivalent Fractions Part Three
Week Seven: Making Equivalent Fractions Part Four
