このクラスで学べること

In this one-time class learners will read fun monster themed stories and practice skills like listening, letters/sounds, numbers and counting. While we read our stories and look at pictures, we will talk about the monsters featured in each story, and talk about real and imaginary! We will learn new vocabulary words and share things that we like about favorite monsters too! Little learners can build great listening, observation and creative thinking skills listening to stories together, asking questions and using their imagination. We'll work on the included Build a Monster project that focuses on listening and following directions in class too! ** Not required to participate class.

**In order to promote class discussions and participation I do not mute learners' microphones. This also helps learners practice their social skills such as active listening and taking turns. In order for this to work, students need to be in a quiet setting away from background noises (loud conversations, telephone calls, t.v, etc.). **

Learners can bring coloring tools like crayons, markers or colored pencils and paper. The Build A Gruffalo project requires pre cutting of 9 pieces for the game (maybe 5-10 minutes). Please bring a glue stick too! **(If you do not have a printer, your learner can choose to draw on the Gruffalo features as we roll the dice and add things like his teeth, his claws, etc. The Gruffalo outline is simple to draw on your own.)
Because of the age of the class I recommend a grown up be within "ear-shot" to help with any technical hiccups (mic and video) that might come up.
