このクラスで学べること

In this fun and gentle crafting session, I'll teach children how to make their own magical fairy gateway using lollipop sticks and a few basic materials. Fairy gateways are cute and colourful curios that engage the imagination, inspire and uplift! When finished, these little treasures may be placed around the home, against a skirting board, or in the garden at the base of a tree. They make for an enchanting talking point and a great way of upcycling materials, which fairies, as guardians of nature, love! ;-) 

As an extra magical BONUS, this class will be lead by a fairy teacher! As a professional former fairy (children's party entertainer and festival walkabout character for many years) I'm comfortable in my wings and would love a few fairy friends to join me for this crafting session (wings not essential!)

Students will learn how to be really creative with very basic materials! They'll engage with their playful side (with so much doom and gloom in the human realm right now this offers a welcome escape). They'll engage with their imaginations and be encouraged to look at 'waste' differently, realising that plenty of things can be made out of everyday disposable items. A great class for nurturing creative flair, a sense of wonder and connection to the natural world.

受講に必要なもの

Approx 10 standard wooden lollipop sticks (as seen in my photo). Plain or coloured. * These are cheap and easily available online if you haven't any lollies to use up in your freezer (recycled is best! ;-) )

A piece of card just big enough to mount the sticks on (could use recycled card from a cereal box or old packaging of some kind). 

Scissors. 

Sticky tape.

A glue strong enough to hold the lollipop sticks together.

Coloured pens or poster paints. 

A couple of long colourful pipe-cleaners to make the archway (see photo) OR modelling clay / airdry clay/ playdough, to frame the gate. Clay is the better option, but pipe-cleaners will do!  

For the really fun part! Any decorations to make their gateway extra magical! Think bio-glitter, buttons, gems, moss, twigs, dried flowers, leaves, shells, stones, coins, feathers - fairies collect all sorts of things, so just bring whatever bits you find! (You won't need ALL of these!)
