Start your epic drawing adventure here! In this ongoing class students will join together each week and learn to draw a different magical character, animal or scene. I will use classic fairytales, popular magic themed books and movies as inspiration for what to draw. We will learn how to draw unicorns, goblins, dragons, witches, talking trees and more with step by step instructions.

This is great for budding young artists or kids who just love to express themselves through drawing. Week by week they will build up a portfolio of brilliant drawings, which together give the impression of a whole fantasy world that they have created. At the beginning of class we will talk a little about the subject matter, by showing pictures and talking about it together as a group. This is a great way to get to know each other and for students to interact together. Then we will move on to the drawing section where I will use slides and live drawing to demonstrate how to draw step by step. Lastly students will get to colour in their masterpiece at the end of the class using any medium they like! Crayons, pencils, markers or paints. There is plenty of room in the lesson for individuality and customisation of their drawings.  Students will get a chance to show off their finished drawing at the end of the class as we go through one by one and share if they want to.  There are 10 total classes and then we will will loop back to 1 again so that no matter where you start you have an opportunity to complete all 10 images. The list (in order) is as follows.

My teaching style is very enthusiastic and I like to encourage my students by praising what they are doing well and sensitively pointing out where they could improve. The best way to learn is through doing and so my lesson will be very interactive and engaging. The students will need some plain paper, a drawing pencil, eraser and coloured pens or pencils, including the colour black. They are welcome to use paints also if they would like to colour in with those. No required experience or knowledge is needed for this class. Just a joy and curious attitude about art, magical lands and how to draw!
