This class will stretch across 4 weeks, covering the 7 most useful verbs in Spanish. Students will focus on one verb per class with a building curriculum. We will do everything from playing games, conversing, covering new vocabulary on slides, and moving! At the end of the course, students will use their new Spanish vocabulary to write their own short, simple story. No experience is required! If these times don't work for you, feel free to request a different time. Please note: There must be at least 2 students enrolled for this course to run due to its interactive nature. If you'd like to schedule an individual set of lessons, please see my Tutoring class! Daily class structure: 0-5 min: Greetings & Small Talk 5-10 min: Review of vocabulary 10-25 min: Presentation of new information 25-30 min: Brain break! 30-40 min: Apply new information 40-45 min: Goodbyes Meeting topics: Week 1, Meeting 1: Hay/Es - nouns and descriptions Week 1, Meeting 2: Está - locations and feelings Week 2, Meeting 1: Tiene - possessions Week 2, Meeting 2: Le gusta - likes/dislikes Week 3, Meeting 1: Quiere - wants Week 3, Meeting 2: Va a - traveling and locations Week 4, Meeting 1: Write your own story, part 1 Week 4, Meeting 2: Write your own story, part 2

Students will gain a basic understanding of the Super Seven verbs in Spanish and will be able to read and create short stories with those verbs.

Gimkit and Kahoot are interactive web-based games where students can practice vocabulary and other topics discussed in class. They will need to be able to navigate to the site, type in the game code, and then be able to navigate back to our lesson when complete.
Students will also need to be able to navigate to Google Docs and Google Slides occasionally to work collaboratively with others. No accounts are required, but they will need to be able to click a link in the chat box, access the site, and then navigate back to the video call when complete.
