The content of this class is the result of 5 years of working with young children through the context of an in-home preschool. I have always taught Spanish, but maintained an awareness that when teaching 4 and 5 year olds, preparing them for a main-stream Kindergarten experience is the goal of most parents. This class is designed to serve both purposes (Kindergarten prep and Spanish language learning). I hope to continue working with students who complete this class and begin attending Kindergarten. Whether they end up in monolingual or bilingual classrooms, I want to help each student journey toward full Spanish language proficiency. 

RaShae Smith is a Texas certified educator in Spanish, art, and EC-6 with a bachelor's degree from Lubbock Christian University. She taught Spanish to young children at her in home preschool Libelula Spanish School for 5 years before moving to the online platform of Outschool. As a non-native speaker, she demonstrates to all of her students that Spanish classes work and anyone can learn a second language! She is raising her own 3 children to be bilingual and hopes they love Spanish as much as she does.
