ピアノ アドベンチャー 2 レベル 1

This course is the next class after Level 1 Piano Adventurers 1.  It is imperative that your student has completed the first part to be able to be successful in this class. 

Class will begin with finger exercises, arm and wrist stretches, and various five finger scales.  We will then begin working on the music from the book that is outlined in the syllabus* below:

January 6: Interval of a 5th, pages 34 and 35
January 13 : Rests! Pages 36 and 37.
January 20: Pages 38 and 39
January 27:  Page 41
February 3: Pages 43 and 44
February 10: Tonic and Dominant. Pages 45, 46, and 47
February 17: The C chord. Pages 48 and 49
February 24: The Dominant Chord. Pages 50 and 51
March 3: Pages 52 and 53
March 10: Pages 54 and 55
March 17: Page 56
March 24: Accents. Page 58
March 31: Page 59
April 7: Pages 60 and 61

*The syllabus is subject to change based on the class's progress with the music.

In class, we will begin with reviewing music that we learned in the previous class.  We will then move on to new material.  Students will have many opportunities to perform for each other and receive feedback on their progress from me throughout the class.

Topics we will cover in class include note names for spaces and lines on the grand staff, different rhythms, and music terminology. Students will be assessed on their musical knowledge through Kahoot, as assigned for homework.  Students can be given various theory assignments for homework that could include working from their book, composing their own song, etc.  Homework will also include practicing three times a week for fifteen minutes.  Practice of piano music covered in class is imperative for the student’s success in this class.  I will also post practice videos (via google drive link) in the classroom of me playing the songs we cover in class to help your student’s practice.
