I want to practice speaking in Spanish with you! In my experience, students often focus too much on grammar and vocabulary in class and very little time speaking. In real life, your language skills will be as good as you can speak and read. In this class, students will speak as much as possible. Be ready to read short texts, answer questions, defend a random opinion on a topic, and so much more! We will review and practice useful grammar, vocabulary, and phrases, as well. In my personal experience as a teacher and former student, I have found that language classes don't focus enough on giving the students the opportunity to speak. There is no way you will master a language without putting yourself out there and trying to converse. I have several years of experience teaching Spanish to people from many different background, ages, and levels. I truly enjoy teaching my students not only to speak Spanish but gain confidence and feel comfortable expressing themselves in a foreign language.

The class will use a shared word document that I create and send to the students after the class. I use this word document to share the readings, questions, and exercises with which we will work. This saves time by permitting us to engage and share notes in real time, as well as enabling the students to keep the materials at the end of the class (as a pdf file that I attach to the Outschool classroom at the end of every class).
