Students will learn to discuss greetings, numbers, alphabet, the date, weather, likes, dislikes, hobbies etc. We will create silly stories, ask and answer questions, and play games all in Spanish. I will teach in Spanish with tons of pictures, gestures and some English when necessary. Vocabulary and written notes will be given as homework. My style of teaching involves comprehensible input. This means giving students lots of input (Spanish) that’s comprehensible (that they can understand) as the primary teaching method. I will speak slowly, write out words, use pictures, gestures etc. to make sure students are comprehending the Spanish. When necessary, I will explain the grammar. Also, I will provide homework activities to support the learning in class. I recommend this interactive workbook to record new vocabulary.
