In this 45-minute one-time class,  I am calling all Super Mario gamers.  Are you ready to play with your favorite character? Is it Luigi, Peach, Mario, or Daisy?  You are invited to transform your world using wonder flowers.  Or do you want to sing with the piranha plants.  Super Mario Wonder is an amazing game if you are a beginner or an experienced gamer.  Learners will be able to socialize and make new friends in a safe gaming environment.  Gamers will discover new math learning strategies such as how many coins you need to gain an extra 1 up mushroom and what are the best items to use to get ahead of your opponent.  Which item would you choose to go on your adventure?

VERY IMPORTANT: Please note that the learner will not be able to participate in class if they don't have the following. 
-A Nintendo Switch 
-A copy of Super Mario Bros Wonder
-A subscription to the Nintendo Switch Online Service

The class will follow this procedure to ensure a safe and encouraging gaming environment:
                                 1. Introduction to the class/ class expectations
                                 2. Exchange friend codes 
                                 3. Choose the level of popularity
                                 4. Play Super Mario Bros Wonder
                                 5. Cooldown/reflect on the game

Learners will demonstrate good sportsmanship and promote positivity in various levels in a 4-player games.  The topics that will be covered in class are discussion questions such as:

                                   What character did you choose and why?
                                   Where can you find this item?
                                   How many coins do you have?
                                   Why did you decide to use this super power?
                                   When did you use this strategy?

The teacher will provide any additional guidance and feedback to support learners throughout the lesson.  The teacher will set the duration of the game.  This is equivalent to 45 minutes depending on the timing of the game.
