Learners will ... -brainstorm a list of hopes, dreams, and goals -look for images and words in magazines that embody their hopes, dreams, and goals -cut, assemble, and paste their chosen images and words onto a poster board -see the hopes, dreams, and goals they want to move towards with their finished product
Paper Pencil Poster board or card stock (something to paste the clippings to) Scissors Glue/Glue stick Magazines
Learners will be using scissors to cut our images and words from magazines. Parents may want to look through their learner's chosen magazines to ensure there isn't any inappropriate content. Disclaimer: The purpose of this two-day class is not to sensationalize the process of making a dream board, rather to provide a means to help learners identify and remember what goals they're moving towards in the weeks, months, and year ahead. Making a dream/vision board does not guarantee that what is on these boards will come to be, rather simply to help remind and encourage to keep pressing forward.
