このクラスで学べること
In this one-time class we will learn about place value (ones, tens, and hundreds). We will talk about the standard form, base ten blocks, as well as expanded form. The class will be fun and interactive! I want the students to engage with one another and ask questions when needed. I want the students to feel as though they are heard and not afraid to ask questions! No question will go unanswered! This is a safe place! We will begin with a little ice breaker to get everyone talking. I will conduct the class with an "I do, we do, you do" model. What this means is that I will begin with a short lesson. I will then allow the students to assist me in working together to solve problems. At the end the students will work independently on their work and we will check it as a class. I will also add in some games to keep the kiddos engaged and having fun! Pre-requisites for this class are knowing your numbers and how to say the numbers. We will work on numbers in the HUNDREDS place, so being able to speak those is a plus, but not required. They will gain that knowledge in the class.

I have my Masters in Special Education with a concentration in low incidence as well as my bachelors in cross category which covers both General Education and Special Education.
My philosophy behind teaching is to make sure the students are having fun and engaged! There is nothing worse than learning a tough subject AND being bored doing it! My goal is to teach students in a way they will understand while having fun doing it!
A little fun and personal about me; I live in the sunny state of Arizona with my family of 4. We have 1 cat and 1 dog. I am a huge animal lover! My kids are 6 and 8 who really love making slime!
