In this class, students will learn and/or review the names of coins and paper money, addition, and subtraction. We will use those skills to do some pretend shopping. Each student will have a certain amount of "Pretend" money and will be able to "pretend" shop. They will have to keep track of how much money they have, so they do not overspend. We will review money and "Pretend shop" at new businesses each week, including the toy store, pet store, restaurant, theme park, movie theater, supermarket, bakery, clothes shop, Video game store book store, shopping mall, Disney World, other Countries, and more!!!! Students will get a chance to interact with each other as in class and can even share tips/advice to help with budgeting. Weekly Schedule Week of January 21st: Toy Store + shop Week of January 28th: Pet Store + shop Week of February 4th: Restaurant + shop Week of February 11th: Supermarket + shop

I have been teaching and tutoring for over 13 years, in the school setting and online. I have worked as a pre-school teacher in a private learning center, an elementary/middle school math/reading tutor online, and in the school. I want to create an educational and pressure-free environment, where students ALL OVER THE WORLD can enjoy learning!!! I teach all year long and even during most holidays.
I have a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a Master's of Social Work. I also have TESOL and TEFL: TEYL certifications. I am currently working towards my teaching license/ certification too. I am very patient and can guide students in their educational journey, every step of the way. I love to teach because I love to empower students and encourage them to take control of their futures. Beyond math and reading, I also enjoy teaching story improv, show and tell, how to start an online reselling business, personalized homework help, storytime, ESL, full curriculum, homeschool, private tutoring and more. I love learning new things about different cultures and hope to teach students from all over the world.

Regarding refunds, please follow Outschool’s policy. Try to pause class before Sunday evening or cancel more than 24 hours before. I will be limiting refunds for missed classes with no notification and very short notice cancellations. I will refund only in some situations.
