Join me as we descend into the depths of the Caribbean Sea! In this one time class, students will take a virtual scuba diving trip. As a certified professional scuba diver, I want to share my experiences of the underwater world with your student. Our class will begin with a "briefing"- an information session about where we are going, what we will be doing, and what we will see. Students will also learn the hand signals for identifying different animals under the water. It's hard to talk when you are 40 meters down! We will also take a glimpse at the equipment we will be using and how to stay safe underwater.

Then, our journey will begin! We will start to explore the underwater world using REAL photos and videos from my own scuba diving experiences. We will see a wide variety of animals and watch them in their habitat. We will make observations and learn different facts about each animal.

Finally, after our air consumption has run out, we will ascend to the surface to have a conversation about our dive trip. What did you see? What did you notice? What did you learn? What do you want to know more about?

My goal for this class is to spark interest in young learners about the beauty and wonder of the underwater world. Anyone can be a scuba diver!
