This will be a two part seminar, during which we will take a deep dive into the rich and fascinating history of the Salem witch trials. The class will be lecture based with some discussion. I will also use images and short video clips to enhance the students' understanding of the topic. I have taught extensively about the Salem witch trials as a high school teacher. I was also born in Salem and study the trials extensively. I have done a lot of research about the events, and have no problem teaching it in a sensitive way.
The Salem witch trials were historical events, involving violent deaths, wrongful persecution, and religion. There maybe possible triggers for some students. Images shown may be graphic, depicting violence. The content and discussion may be disturbing to students, therefore parental discretion is strongly advised.
