Let's learn to paint a vase of flowers in a fun way! Using a paper towel, some acrylic paints, a canvas board, some water and maybe a brush, we will create a big mess and then turn it into a beautiful vase of flowers. Students will learn a little color theory, a little about capturing light in a painting, and some negative space painting. First we will use a paper towel, some water and paint to tone our canvas. A flat surface protected with wax paper or freezer paper (shiny side up!) One of the following sets of acrylic paint colors: Set 1: Magenta (purple red), Green, Blue, and Yellow Set 2: Red-yellow (orange), Blue, Purple and Green An 8x10 (inch) or 9X12 (inch) or similar size canvas board Paper towels A 1 or 2 inch brush, foam or bristle is fine.
