このクラスで学べること
In this class, we will draw cute animals step-by-step using simple shapes. Each week we will draw two different animals and chat about them. No experience necessary. Here are some of the animals that we will draw: Week 1: bunny and cat Week 2: deer and hedgehog Week 3: giraffe and monkey Week 4: panda bear and sloth Week 5: owl and fox Week 6: seal and dolphin Suggestions and ideas by the students are welcome. This class provides step-by-step directed drawing. Students will be encouraged to add creative elements to their background. Students will be encouraged to share their final drawing and/or upload photos of their artwork each week to the classroom page; however, this is not required. The only supplies required are: sketchbook or blank drawing paper, pencil and eraser. Students may use digital art if they like. (i.e. iPad) I am looking forward to drawing with you!

Hello! I'm Sophia Stafford and I'm excited to share my passion for drawing with your learners!
I teach a variety of drawing classes here on Outschool since March 2020.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Math and an MBA in Marketing. I have lectured undergraduate level Business classes and have tutored students of all ages in Math. Also, I have extensive training and experience in drawing both in traditional and digital media. My professional experience includes graphic and web design, and creating digital marketing materials.
My passion has always been drawing and creative arts. I enjoy helping students learn new things and boost their self-confidence through art. It's very fulfilling when I see my students improving their skills and feeling proud of their accomplishments.
