My learning goals for this class is to help students become better communicators, problem solvers, builders, programmers and team players. Throughout each lesson, I aim to make my students flourish in their self-esteem by guiding them to act out what they think is best through working with other class members within the game.
To assist students whose first language not be English, I hold a TEFL certificate. This means I can assist your learner to become better speakers of the language through varied communication techniques. These include and are not limited to; reading, writing, listening, pronunciations and simple English Grammar.
For this class, you will need to have purchased a copy of Minecraft (Bedrock Edition). For this class, you'll need two devices: the first for the Zoom call (to talk) and one to play Minecraft. Zoom can be downloaded and used on smartphones (iOS/Android) or PC, and Minecraft (Bedrock Edition) can be played on another device (Windows 10/11 PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S | X, PlayStation 4/ PS5, Nintendo Switch, Fire OS/TV, Android/iOS). It's highly recommended to have the most recent installation of Minecraft (Bedrock Edition) on your device. And you will also need a FREE Microsoft Account to play Minecraft online. Please visit https://account.microsoft.com/ for more details on how to sign up. You must also have a subscription to Nintendo Switch Online/Xbox Live/Playstation Plus (if you are on a console) in order to play with other people on the private server.
Disruptive students who have been warned more than once will have their accounts temporarily suspended from the server until the next class. Nonetheless, it is not confined to unacceptable actions including foul language or harassing other students.
