このクラスで学べること
This class is best for students who are already comfortable with using clay, as we move quickly to produce the wreath and cat details. In this class, we will work together to learn the steps needed to create each portion of our adorable wreath cats. Different camera views will be used to show each step of the way. We will condition, cut, roll and form our pieces. Then we will assemble our parts and get them prepared to be baked after class is over. I will go over how to convert our creations into ornaments. The supplies are listed below and are necessary to complete the project. I will go over how to lacquer the clay after baking if the students want a professional, glossy finished look. Students may personalize their cats to look like their own if they wish! Polymer Bake Clay Basic Sculpting tools, toothpick, dotting tool (for eye sockets) Wooden toothpick A cutting tool (like a clay knife, anything that you are comfortable with using) A non stick surface to work on (You can cover a piece of cardboard with parchment paper and tape it to the bottom…that works) A small rolling pin or paintbrush handle or anything smooth to roll out small pieces of clay. Optional: Clear Gloss Glaze for after baking (I use Sculpey Gloss Glaze) Optional: Black GLASS beads for eyes (I use 4.0 round beads or Seed Beads) Variety of colors of polymer clay (red, green, plus any colors you choose for your cat) Eye Pin (or piece of jewelry-type wire with a loop on the end)
