Students will need to have access to a ukulele for this class.

At a music store, you should be able to get a kid’s ukulele for less than $100, especially if you purchase one used. Ukuleles don’t vary too much in size, but it is important to buy an appropriately sized one based on your learner’s age.

The four sizes (from smallest to largest) are Soprano, Concert, Tenor, and Baritone. 

As an adult, I find a Tenor ukulele comfortable, and a Soprano too small. 

Most kids start on a Soprano ukulele, but an older kid may feel more comfortable with a concert sized ukulele.

Since this class is for younger students, songs with swear words are not included in the course content, but as a result of their own searches for music, depending on what styles they're interested in, this may be something they come across on their own time outside of class.
