In this class students are invited to bring a stuffie (reindeer, snowman, penguin so on )  to class for an early level guided reading lesson.  I know its hard to choose just one! We will start out by introducing our stuffed animal. 

Then we will warm up with some simple word work with manipulatives like whiteboards, wikki stix, paper or magnetic letters to practice high frequency or rhyming words. 

Next we will read a teacher created story using cvc words/ rhyming/ high frequency/ seasonal words.  These stories are written by the teacher and some are illustrated by a budding artist in the family that loves to draw :) 
  
Finally we will answer basic comprehension questions, draw or color.  Students will be encouraged to write one sentence. 
This class is designed for early readers.  It is best suited for students reading levels A- C.  Late PK or Kindergarten to early 1st grade or struggling readers in first grade.  Sentence structures will be repetitive in nature and picture cues are provided for difficult words.  Students will receive a copy of the booklet for coloring/ use during class.  Please message if you are unsure if this level is for you.  I will use a few different titles so you may join this class more than once if your learner would like to take this class more than once.
