In this class, the student will learn how to use his or her T-Square, Pencil, Paper and eraser to create a drawing in both one-point perspective and two-point perspective. It is an ongoing class, so learners who enroll after a project has begun will be encouraged to wait to enroll until they can start the class at the beginning of a project. If they choose to start, they will be guided on a quick way to catch up to the others, and encouraged to work on homework so they will be completely caught up in the subsequent session. 1. Tuesday, December 5th : One Point Perspective/Bedroom (warm-up/prep) Pencil, Paper, Eraser, T-square Warm-up by learning the fundamentals of 1-point perspective drawing. For example, learn where to place the horizon line, the vanishing point, and the construction of 3-D "looking" boxes above and below the horizon line. 2. Tuesday, December 12, One Point Perspective/Bedroom. Pencil, Paper, Eraser, T-square Using the skills we learned in week one, we will draw an interior room in 1-point perspective, starting with the placement of the horizon line, the vanishing point and the back wall of the room. If time allows we will place a "box"/ "dresser" in the room. 3. Tuesday, December 19, One Point Perspective/Bedroom. Pencil, Paper, Eraser, T-Square We will continue to draw objects in the room. Bed, desk, stairs to attic, windows, pictures on the wall, and whatever you want. All of these will be drawn in perspective. 4. Tuesday, December 26, One Point Perspective/Bedroom. Pencil, Papaer, Eraser, T -Square, Sharpie We will put details in the picture, using sharpie or going straight to coloring the drawing using colored pencils.
学習到達目標
The student will be able to construct a one and two point perspective interior and exterior drawing. In my classes the goal should be to create a work of art that can be hung on the wall. There is no quick-sketching in my classes. We are here to do our best to draw something worth keeping for years. The student will learn how to follow directions in such an accurate way, that they'll be surprised at what they will create.

There is nothing inappropriate or scary EVER taught in my classes.
受講に必要なもの
The student will need: 1. White drawing paper, preferably 8x10 or 9x12 (Amazon, Target) 2. Pencil. A Bic mechanical pencil is what I use. They don't need fancy drawing pencils in this class, and a mechanical pencil requires no sharpening which takes time away from drawing. (Target) 3. A white eraser. A white eraser leaves no pink or green or purple streaks across the paper. (Target/Amazon) 4. A T-Square! Essential. Mandatory. Highlight, copy and paste the path below into your browser. https://www.amazon.com/Westcott-12-30cm-Junior-T-Square/dp/B001E65WAW/ref=sr_1_5?crid=2QTKCE8X5P8SU&keywords=t+square&qid=1699573867&sprefix=t+squa%2Caps%2C133&sr=8-5 5. A good set of colored pencils. You don't have to spend a lot of money, Crayola works, but if you're serious about this stuff Prismacolor is the best and they blend well. (Amazon, Target, Hobby Lobby, Michaels) 6. Sharpie (ultra fine) and/or a Pigma Micron black pen in 03. (Amazon, Hobby Lobby, Michaels and Target for Sharpie.)

教師の専門知識と資格
I have been teaching children and adults to draw since 1990. I'm very good at drawing and I'm very good at explaining things. The results in my class are amazing. I love the kids, and I'm very patient. I've been a teacher in the classroom for over 20 years, and I've been teaching on Outschool for 3 1/2 years.
