This is a one-to-one personal tutoring session. The class will be specifically customized to meet the individual needs of the Mandarin learner with levels ranging from Beginner to Advanced.  

Prior to your learner's first class, we will contact you to discuss their learning goals and gain relevant knowledge. The teacher will also conduct an interactive assessment during the first class to further assess your learner's strengths and areas of need. 

In this class we can focus on the following depending on the needs and goals of the learner:
-Review Pinyin each class: the 4 Mandarin tones
-Recognizing Chinese Characters: how to read simple words 
-Learn Vocabulary & Sentence Structure: how to put words together 
-Communication: how to use the language in everyday situations
-Writing: how to create simple sentences
-Reading: reading chinese texts and comprehension exercises (for advanced learners) 

Each topic will be covered according to our lesson sequence at learners' own pace

Each session is 30 minutes with only one learner.  

This is an ongoing, weekly class, but you are welcome to start and stop at any time. 

Please note: Prior to the first lesson, parents/learners will need to let us know if they want the class to be taught in English AND Mandarin (for beginners) or fully in Mandarin Immersion (for advanced). Teacher will adjust according to the students' level in the following lessons.

This course is taught in Simplified Chinese. If a parent/learner would like to request Traditional Chinese characters, please mention it to us during registration.
