This class is for students who want to keep Latin skills fresh over the summer and grow stronger in one or more areas of grammar/vocabulary. It is also a good refresher course in preparation for further study in the fall. Students should own and have completed Unit 1 of the Cambridge Latin Course, either with me, with another instructor, or through independent study. Each week we build up expertise in a different topic. Cultural background, including video segments, will strengthen interest,...
Students will improve command of Latin translation skills, preparing them for more advanced study. Strengthened vocabulary and grammar knowledge will also provide a firm foundation in English and other languages.
Unit 1 of the Cambridge Latin Course (5th Edition preferred) is required. Available through the Cambridge University Press or other online retailers.
