We will start by introducing ourselves. Learners will see an array of photos from different places associated with Halloween, and hear a description of the place and what makes it special. Before each new landscape is introduced, they will be shown on their screen a map of the U.S. showing the location, and a more detailed large scale map to show the specific region. With repeated views of the map throughout class, they will become more familiar with the map as each location is added. In between each new place, we will complete a step in a virtual activity. By the end of class, they will have heard about approximately five places, seen them plotted on a map, and completed a cooperative activity. Discussion will be permitted and encouraged.
