This class is geared towards students already in kindergarten as well as students who will soon be entering kindergarten. Each class we will cover a variety of topics including learning calendar skills (the months of the year, the days of the week), identifying numbers 0-20, practicing letters and sounds, introducing sight words, working on rhyming words, and introducing social skills and good citizen characteristics. Some of these good citizen characteristics will include positivity, kindness, sharing, good work ethic, and leadership. Students will be able to learn in a variety of ways during this class including kinesthetic learning, visual learning, and auditory learning. Each student will have ample time to share and communicate with peers and the teacher. I look forward to meeting your student in this class!

Students will learn the days of the week, the months of the year, how to identify numbers 0-20, and will practice letter recognition and letter sounds. Students will practice kindergarten age-appropriate sight words and will also work on rhyming skills. Students will also be introduced to a variety of good citizen characteristics.

Hello! My name is Ms. Emily and I am so excited to be teaching your child on Outschool! I have a bachelor degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis on Early Childhood Education. I am certified to teach grades PreK-6th. I taught five years of kindergarten before becoming a stay at home mom. I love being home with my children but I missed the classroom so I started looking into online teaching! I have taught online classes for the past three years. I love teaching and I'm so excited to meet your child in the classroom! I believe that fun is key to a love of learning and my hope is to help your child develop that love of learning that will carry them throughout their life!
I have three children who are nine, seven, and one years old. I love to bake, read, and go hiking with my husband and children.
