このクラスで学べること
In this year-long course, students will learn about all things kindergarten. Students will be exposed to a full kindergarten curriculum including reading, math, language, life skills, and science concepts. This class will meets 5 times a week for 45 minutes each day. Each day students will complete a full list of calendar activities such are learning the days of the week, months of the year, weather, and ways to construct parts of the calendar. Students will also complete 1-2 learning concepts and goals each day. Students will be provided with extension activities that are interactive and fun that can be completed outside of class via Seesaw. Students will also get a subscription to the IXL and Education.com learning systems with an enrollment of this class to give even more options for continuous learning. Students will engage in learning materials all week and then be rewarded on Friday with a social skills engagement activity or a science activity each week. This course is split up into 4 9-week courses that complete the entire year. This is done to make payment easier for parents. Also please view the learning goals section of this listing to see an in-depth view of what your student will be learning. There is no pre-requisite to this course. This course is open to those that are taking kindergarten this year, and those that hope to get a head start on their learning. The section beginning in October 2021 is for Weeks 10-18

My name is Shelby Landreth. I have been in the education field for many years. I was an education specialist at a local science museum teaching home school programs, school programs, and camps of many kinds. I also have experience teaching children with special needs. I have worked with these children in a school setting as well as a clinic setting providing ABA therapy. I also own the organization Creative Minds Learning Center LLC that also hosts classes here on Outschool. If there is a class of mine that you do not currently see available or if the class is sold out you may want to check to see if I have another teacher offering the class there.
I believe that there is no reason that education and life skills cannot be fun since it is an essential part of our daily lives. If you are looking for a teacher that loves teaching and wants to teach your child a concept in a way that they will have fun and enjoy the class, you will find it in my classroom with fun games and projects that promote a lifetime fuel for learning.
