The students will be introduced to critical kindergarten skills for math and reading. The students will stay engaged through writing, hand/body motions, verbal response, and singing.  We will work on encouraging each other and building confidence in their kindergarten skills.

I believe that learning can take place anywhere and at anytime. We can all learn new things if someone is there to walk you through it. I feel active learning is the best way to engage the learner's eyes, ears, and hands.  Teaching lower elementary for 20+ years has given me many opportunities to guide students and build their confidence in new skills.

I will not assign homework, but I will provide review pages that can be used outside of class to continue learning. I will also share resources that may help your child progress throughout the year.

The students will be assessed informally and I will move my weekly target goals based on the group's mastery of each skill.
