このクラスで学べること

Students had a blast in my 6 week Online Girls Chat course. That course has come to an end so I've decided to create an ongoing Kids Chat class, and I have updated it to include any child, ages 8-11, who may be interested.

This is an experienced-based course. I will set the tone with specific topics and the students will get the opportunity to respond and discuss these topics. The students will also be allowed a large amount of time for open discussion. This is an opportunity for each child to get to know each other and the different lifestyles, beliefs, and practices from around the world. 

There will be fun homework assignments throughout the class.

Students will better understand the differences and similarities between individuals, cultures, families, beliefs, communications...etc. They will gain the opportunity to connect with other children from around the world and could create lasting life-long friendships. The children will practice their typing skills as they will partake in weekly penpal emails and group discussions.

保護者へのお知らせ

Topics may include religion, beliefs, lifestyles, heritage, personal experiences (during open discussion)...etc. While I will be monitoring the topics discussed in open discussion, I will not be filtering the discussions unless they start to become inappropriate or not mature of the age group. I expect each child to show respect and disrespectful language will not be tolerated.

Children will need access to the internet for research purposes. They will also need crafting material such as poster boards or paper and color pencils/crayons.

I am a mother to 4 girls and they love to talk. My 8-year-old daughter will be joining in these weekly discussions and lessons. This is a great opportunity for young children to experience open discussion, learn about differences from around the world, while also gaining life-long friends.
