You'll be amazed, as you take this class, at how advanced the ancient Egyptians were in knowing how the body functions and how to treat it for many conditions and diseases. Topics will include:
√ How the earliest male and female physicians diagnosed physical
problems.
√ The medical instruments used in ancient times. I even have some
real medical tools thousands of years old to show you.
√ How the...Students will learn: 1. Why the mortality rate following medical procedures in ancient Egypt was often less than that of hospitals Mid-20th century. 2. How archaeologists have learned about the ancient Egyptians' longevity. 3. What different medical papyri have taught us about the ancient Egyptians' medical expertise. 4. What the prevailing illnesses and trauma the ancient Egyptians suffered from. 5. The one big anatomical mistake the ancient Egyptians made regarding the functioning of a major part of the body.
I hold a Certificate of Museum Studies from Harvard University and a Diploma in Egyptology from Oxford College in England. And I’ve been to Egypt three times on personalized, educational tours. I've been captivated by ancient Egypt since I was 10 years old. And I feel it's my destiny to share my enthusiasm for and expertise on this beautiful and brilliant 5000-year-old civilization with all of you. I hope to see you soon in this class.
