This is a one-time class meant to refresh your rising 6th grader on 5th grade reading skills and introduce them to 6th grade concepts. The class is specifically designed for the reluctant learner who might not be ready to start the school year, or who may need a little review. 

The class content will be highly interactive and "gamified," utilizing platforms like Kahoot and CuriPod for low-stakes engagement. We'll cover the essential skills of: using context clues to clarify unfamiliar words, identify the main idea and supporting details of a text to increase reading comprehension, and making inferences to draw conclusions.
