This is part 2 of Japanese Culture Club - Pop Culture Edition (turned into an ongoing club!) In this continuation class, we will go over 1 new subject every week. *Please note this is a club. We will learn information about popular culture. When the slideshow is complete students will be given the rest of the allotted time to chat with one another about that day's theme or other subjects about Japanese culture.* Here is the run down for the first 5 weeks: [Week 1 - 03/01] Festivals Learn about the different festivals in Japan Talk about the history and fun facts [Week 2 - 03/08] Cosplay What is cosplay? History of Cosplay Cosplay's influence around the world [Week 3 - 03/15] School Life Show the daily life of a Japanese student Talk about school festivals and field trips [Week 4 - 03/22] Pastries and Sweets Dive into the wonderful world of sweets in Japan Learn about modern take of pastries and the kawaii art [Week 5 03/29] Animal Cafes Learn about different animal cafes History behind them Take a look into how rescue animals are finding a home through animal cafes [Week 6 04/05] Kawaii Culture What is Kawaii culture? [Week 7 04/12] Traditional and modern Japanese Homes
