I will teach the names of animals in response to the students’ interests. Common pets and more unusual ones can be included. I will model sentences so that students can tell the class what their pet is called, how old their pet is, if their pet is big or small, what colour their pet is etc.This will be a good introduction to the use of il/elle and possibly ils/elles.
