Class length may vary due to student ability and class size. Classes are designed to be no longer than the time allotted. *Late/Missed Class Policy - All courses will begin on time as long as one learner is in the classroom. In the event that no students are in the classroom at the assigned class time, the teacher will leave a message on the discussion board and exit the classroom after 10 minutes. Class recordings are available upon request. ***Tardy Policy - Learners who have missed ten minutes or more of the class time should request a transfer. Instruction is given step-by-step, so tardiness detracts from everyone's learning experience. Hello, my name is Cara!
I have been teaching art since 2003 in school and studio environments. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Art from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. My concentrations are in education and painting. I have experience teaching students as young as 3 up to adults. The majority of my in-school teaching experience was in grades 6-12. At my studio, I teach students weekly and also have classes for homeschool students, open studio, birthdays, graduations, and team-building. I love that online platforms allow teachers and students to connect across the world! What an amazing opportunity!
I love to create bright-colored abstract paintings, usually in acrylic or watercolor. I live with my husband and three dogs a short drive from my art studio! I look forward to meeting you!
