In this one time class, students will be learning to draw a windy winter snowman and use acrylic painting techniques to paint it. We will break down the swan into simple shapes and then refine our drawing. Acrylic painting techniques such as mixing colors on the palette and canvas, gradients, impasto, and glazing will be taught as needed for the specific project. Non-toxic, child-safe acrylic paints. Assortment of paint brushes. Paint palette with mixing space. (Disposable - Tracing paper works great and it's an easy clean up.) Cup of water. White paint paper, mixed media paper or canvas. 8"x11", 9" x 12" Pencil and eraser. Paper towels or paint rag. Plastic paint palette knife.
We will be using a cup of water with our acrylic paints. Please make sure all electronics are protected from water spills. Use only non-toxic, child-safe acrylic paints.
