このクラスで学べること

Math can be a bear. That's why I'm offering one-on-one help for students who need help with many levels of math, whether it's a single problem giving them grief, a section in their math class they're not able to retain, or a test (standardized and classroom).

The topics I can provide help with are as follows. The listed categories includes every grade level, for integers, fractions, decimals, and radicals/equations:

-PEMDAS
-Elementary Math
-Middle School Math
-Pre-Algebra
-Algebra
-Geometry
-Algebra 2

I am able to help with aspects of Pre-Calculus and Trigonometry, but would need a preliminary description of the specific area of each subject that the students need help with. For example, synthetic division, Decartes' Rule of Signs, polynomial factoring, and matrices are topics I have quite a lot of experience with. Others are on a case-by-case basis. No worries, however, sometimes a second pair of eyes is all that's needed!

The students will learn how to complete the problems and topics they've requested help with, whether it's a single problem, a section, a test, or a standardized test. If continuous tutoring is required, the student will be taught in the same progression they are learning in school (or, for homeschool learners, the progression they are to complete for proficiency certification).  Methods of organization and suggestions for alternate methods of solving will be provided, but if the student isn't comfortable with those methods, I can work with them to find something that will help now and in the future.

I have abundant experience working with learners with ADHD, ASD, and Dyslexia (and its cousin, Dyscalculia). Adjustments and allowances are made on a case-by-case basis, and are driven by the learner's style.
受講の前提条件
Students should either be able to operate Zoom on their own, or have a parent present who is able to help. While verbal communication is preferred, a method of translation should be provided for non-verbal learners.
受講に必要なもの
Please provide textbooks, and have the learner have all materials required in order to complete the problems, such as a calculator, compass, ruler, etc. It is advised to have the student use a separate piece of paper to write example problems on for future reference.

I have been a practicing tutor/teacher for 26 years, and while much of my early tutoring was music and ELA, life led me toward a path of tutoring math for a variety of learners. I have helped students both in private tutoring and school learning at a SpEd facility.

My topics and abilities include the above lesson plan, as well as for standardized tests to include the PSAT, ASVAB, ACT, and SAT. I have been tutoring for these tests since 2011.
