I will be teaching the alphabet to the learners for 6 days.  Each day, I will teach 5 upper-case letters by modeling the letters and talking about them and their sounds, giving example words that begin with that letter, and modeling the steps of writing the letter.  We will then write the letters together, and students will hold their paper up for me to see.  I will give positive feedback as to the formation of their letters, noting the little things that are just right and those that might need a bit of work.  Each following class will begin with a review of the last class's letters.  The very last class will only cover the letter Z.  After the review of letters A-Y and learning to write the letter Z, we will write some words together, such as cat, dog, and bug.  The words will be short, fun words that appeal to children of this age.  Learners will be interacting with me throughout the class and with other learners part of the time.  Students do not need any experience with letters or with writing to be successful in this class.
