Students will learn introductory sketching and inking drawing techniques. Each week we will practice breaking down forms into simple shapes, then developing sketches into finished products. Each weekly animal subject will have different forms, textures, expressions, etc. It's our weekly goal to capture the animal subject in a compelling art piece. We'll learn different techniques for creating volume, texture, and shading. Through practice, repetition, and skill development we should see improvements over time, so keep your early pieces so you can look back at them later!

Alexis has ten years of experience teaching art. I'm also a big nerd and have worked and volunteered in wildlife rehabilitation centers and exotic animal sanctuaries.
