This is a great class to introduce hand sewing to kids ages 8-12. And yes boys love it too! In this one time class , learners will use gloves and felt or button embellishments to create monster dolls. They will learn to sew on a button, simple straight stitching and a ladder stitch to close the doll. I recommend using the stretchy gloves you can find at the dollar store or Walmart. I am very interactive and encourage students to ask questions along the way. Students will also be encouraged to share their creation at the end of class. Sewing develops hand eye coordination, stimulates creativity and promotes self confidence.
