I'll discuss the concepts of self-publishing versus traditional publishing and give important tips for making the best choices for getting your work into print. I'm an award-winning author of seven novels for teens and adults, published by HarperCollins, Penguin, Abrams, and international publishers. I've also worked in the publishing industry for over twenty-five years.
I'll provide a one-page handout, "Resources for Teen Writers."
To avoid distractions and to allow everyone to hear, I'll keep students muted during the class. If they have a question, they can raise their hand, and I'll call on them as quickly as possible. Please avoid other distractions, such as virtual backgrounds.
